We are pleased to announce that we have been contacted recently by Gordon Fletcher with regard to our reproduction of Margaret Mason’s book on the Fletchers. Margaret is alive and well and living in Devon, and if you have any academic queries with regard to the clan or her book, please contact her (see our archive pages).

Gordon also tells us that research on the clan is ongoing and more material may become available in the future.

  1. Hello
I would like to inform you of a slight error. Margaret aka Pat Mason is living in Dorset not Devon. She can no longer write so my email address is the best contact point for new researchers.
We keep an eye on your site and it is great. Keep up the good work. We hope to see you again in the next few years.
    Paula

  2. Dear Charles,
Im checking your site to get a few answers for all the questions I forgot to ask you in the rain, when the Muirs from Maybole, brought me up to view my gift in May, 2009.
Since Im labeling my photos, Im glad to have found a few answers. The main question is:
Would you translate the words (maybe they’re Latin), on the “Lion” coat of arms? I wish you success in your great indeavor.! Sincerely from the plains of Colorado, Cherie Warzyniak

  3. I live in Hobart Tasmania Australia and visited Dunans in October 2005 with Paula Winton while doing a rushed trip through Argyllshire. We also went to the old castle at Achallader by Loch Tulla.
I am a 5th great nephew of Archibald Fletcher 1675-1763.

  4. Hi, i am living in Australia and am the great grand daughter of Neil Mcpherson-Fletcher a cousin to the Cudden-Fletchers, descendant of John Fletcher of Bernice the natural son of Gillesp, i believe. I would like to join the Fletcher Group.
